"Also you might be interested in visiting the www.jewishgen.org website.  They are translating a history book on Krynki, Poland, which was the hometown of Lassor Agoos.  It is a tannery town, which must be where he picked up the skills for his business in the US.  If you explore the various resources and databases on this site you will find some Agusiewicz's in the Bialystock area, who must be relatives of some sort."
